Farid Rohani

Farid Rohani currently writes and speaks on issues relating to immigration, diversity and ethics. He also manages his family’s Vancouver-based development and real estate holding company, and was a founding member and the immediate past Chair of the Laurier Institution. During a 12-year tenure on the Laurier board, he established the Ethics and Human Rights Lecture Series at the University of British Columbia and expanded CBC Radio’s M.K. Wong Lecture Series on multicultural issues, now in its 14th year. He is an advisory board member of the Global Reporting Center

Mr. Rohani has served on the Royal Canadian Mountain Police (E-Division) Diversity Advisory Committee, on the Steering Committee of the Vancouver Dialogues Project. He also has been honored with the Senate of Canada's 150th anniversary Medal, the British Columbia Multicultural Award, the British Columbia Regiment Commanding Officer’s Commendation, and has been recognized as a Georgia Straight Cultural Navigator. He is also an Honorary Lt. Colonel in the British Columbia Regiment. He studied political science and internet marketing at The University of British Columbia
